Boys In Books

Boys in books are just better! Mostly because they are made-up and can be the perfect person that doesn't really exist and is a total fantasy. These are my top ten list of boys (well, men) who are, in my personal opinion, better in books than anything you can find in the real world.

(one of many fab pencil holders for sale from LennyMud)

- Gabriel Oak "Far from the Madding Crowd" by Thomas Hardy
- Doug McCray "Prince of Thieves" by Chuck Hogan
- Ned Nickerson "Nancy Drew Mysteries" by Carolyn Keene/Mildred Wirt Benson
- Mike Hammer "Goliath Bone" and other Hammer detective novels by Mickey Spillane and (some) with Max Allan Collins
- Richard Collier "Bid Time Return" by Richard Matheson
- Fitzwilliam Darcy "Pride & Prejudice" by Jane Austen
- Colonel Brandon "Sense & Sensibility" by Jane Austen
- Phineas Fogg "Around the World in 80 Days" by Jules Verne
- Matthew Cuthbert "Anne of Green Gables" by L.M. Montgomery
- Father Damien Karras "The Exorcist" by William Peter Blatty
