I'm longing to return to Dublin and see all the new-to-me utility cabinets that are scattered around the city, Love Lane, the street art, the Green, the Chester Beatty, chips with salt and vinegar at Kingfishers, and to shop for jumpers at Retro. I'm hoping to see this one, but I fear it has been replaced...

Bram Stoker

This adorable tribute to Irish author Bram Stoker was created last year and I wish I could have seen it in person to photograph it myself. Oh how I do so miss the art of Dublin City.

Merrion Square Art

One thing I really loved about Dublin was that every Sunday there's local artists at Merrion Square displaying and selling their art as part of the Open Air Art Gallery.

Below painting by Anto Whelan

Oscar Wilde by Brendan Higgins

(You can find the artists displaying their work around the perimeter of Merrion Square. Times: Sunday 10-5.)

The Trek for Phil

I walked over an hour to find this Utility Cabinet (which I saw on Dublin Canvas' Instagram account) and was SO relieved that it wasn't too damaged by vandals. Phil Lynott is all hair in this likeness and I totes dig it.

Utility Cab on Eustace

(post script - I discovered that this piece was done by Italian artist  as a tribute to David Bowie and entitled Starman Meets the Blackstar.)
