The Thing

I was looking forward to last night's 9:45pm showing of John Carpenter's The Thing and it did not disappoint. I picked up Xavier and we reached Phoenixville by about 6. We hit up a handful of breweries while smoking in between each one then to The Colonial Theatre to find our seats in the sweltering heat of the balcony. They had an adorable give-away of a life size-ish husky that they had displayed on the stage. Anyway, the 40 year old 35mm copy of the film was grainy as hell and very red for most of it but it was glorious to see it on the big screen with a packed house. All together Xave and I spent eight whole hours together and it was another great night spent in the company of one of my dearest friends.

I was so disappointed that not ONE person commented on the pin I wore on my Pea Coat's lapel.
