Saturday Afternoon Drive

Today was a Ferris Bueller kind of day. Remember that scene in the beginning where Ferris opens the blinds and it's all blue skies and sunny sunshine with a few puffy white clouds? Yeah, well, that's how South Jersey looked today. It was 80 degrees and breezy, Roark's windows were down and Kate Bush was blasting as I made my way through Haddonfield and Cwood to the library. I borrowed two (I would soon learn) fabulous books and the third season of Grantchester (a show whose first season was good but has kinda disappointed me since.), which I plan to binge-watch Sunday evening. This afternoon's drive proved that small pleasures are what can make life really, really good.
