Orchard House

Last night Sheldon mentioned that Louisa May Alcott's home was only about 15 minutes from his place. Neither of us had read Little Women but decided that since we love books, why not check it out. Especially since I found out the building had air conditioning! Turned out that it was an absolute dream. We were even lucky enough to have Jan Turnquist as our tour guide through the house. She is a bonafide rock star in Concord because of her extensive expertise on all things Louisa May. This was the best day we've had together so far!

Look! Natalia captured my crooked smile, uncovered!

If you get a chance, please check out Jan Turnquist's Emmy-winning short documentary, Orchard House: The Home of Little Women. It's available on the library app, Hoopla and it is exceptional. (Also available on DVD.)
