(photograph taken by Marina)Over Spring break, my cousin, Marina and her spectacular boyfriend went to Santa Marta on the coast of Colombia by the Caribbean. There Mario saw the ocean for the first time. I love this photo for so many reasons. Because I love the water and the setting sun. I love the chipped paint on the cement railing and the steps to the left. But mostly I love it because the photographer is capturing the love of her life as he quietly takes in a view like he's never seen. It is a perfect moment in their lives and I feel like I was right next to her.
