What I Love About Terri

- the way she full-on embraces and owns her geekiness (she's Godzilla's biggest fan and has been since childhood)
- always tries to accommodate everyone all the time, even at the expense of her own sanity
- can talk to anyone, anywhere, anytime, about nearly anything
- is loyal like no other
- forgiving and mature even when I'm acting like a snot-nosed brat
- is ideal for telling news to because she gives the best reactions
- co-creator of two really cool kids: my godchildren, Shane and Juliette
- endlessly supportive of any dreams or changes in the lives of her loved ones and believes without question that they will achieve said dreams and become wildly successfully
- a wonderful booming, bursting laugh that always makes everyone smile
- unashamedly romantic in her decorating skills
- thoughtful
- warm
- affectionate
- will do anything for the ones she loves. Example: back in the day she was telling me about a Monster/Horror Convention she and her hubby were going to attend. She even went so far as to not only show him a photo of me (so embarrassing) but she gave it to him!! As if he's gonna put it on his night stand and try to The Secret me into his life. Oh the mortification. She meant well, but good lord, Ter...
- adorable turns of phrases, such as referring to her everyday purse as her "about town bag" and exclaiming "no freakin' way!" at anything she felt was outrageous, even when, it was in fact, not in the least.
- kind
- compassionate
- listens and responds during conversation, never distracted or pacifying the speaker, but focused and interested
- is hilarious to watch order from a menu - it's as though she were choosing a college
- her gift of leaving long-winded and loving voice mail messages, like the one from Christmas Eve 2017 that I refuse to delete from my phone
- that after close to twenty years of friendship she is still truly excited when she sees me, and I her
