I love my iPod and how convenient it is to have so much music and a library of books right in my back pocket, but albums are still such a touchstone to my childhood. You could tell a lot about an artist by the cover art they chose and if they included lyrics or wanted you to figure them out for yourself; to make the song your own, in a way. It's funny, while I'm purging and donating and clearing out stuff at my house, I found it was easier to part with 75% of my cd collection, but my records? Not so much.
