Good Eatin'

I recently went with my BFF to Harold's New York Deli in Edison, NJ. The portions are unbelievable and the food is delicious. I knew that this was going to be a fabulous dining experience when we walked in the door and saw a photo of Mickey Mantle among the NY celebs on the wall. Amy's "The Boss" burger.

My house salad.

Side o' fries.

And a $15 slice of vanilla buttercream cake that puts Mrs. Lagerlof's to shame!!

Ron Wood

(photo kidnapped from smh)

Years ago, my best friend's father's best friend, Mr. Heywood, was at a bar, in I believe Heathrow Airport waiting on a flight. Just down a few stools sat Ron Wood. Apparently, the two of them got to talking and Ron asked what Mr. Heywood did for a living. He replied that he was a metallurgist. This set Ron Wood - lead guitarist for The Rolling Stones - on the edge of his seat as he asked, "Really?? A metallurgist, how fascinating! Tell me more..."

And that is how I am a mere one degree of separation from Ron Wood, cause I met Mr. Heywood back in the 80s when he was visiting the States on business.

Little Z

Hanging out with my nephew the other day, I convinced him to get inside 3 huge tires and let me snap a photo of him peeking out. I have an uncanny ability to get people to do just about anything when I have a camera in my hand. Later I went to take a picture of his shoe and once I looked at it closely, it seemed really sad - so of course, I loved that. As soon as his mother came home, Z made sure to announce that, "Star took pictures of me and made me climb inside dirty tires and then sit on tree stumps. I felt like I was sitting at a campfire, Ma." It's a wonder they let me near him.

I Will Possess Your Heart

How I wish you could see the potential
The potential of you and me
It's like a book elegantly bound
But in a language you can't read just yet

You got to spend some time, love
You got to spend some time with me
And I know that you'll find, love
I will possess your heart

You got to spend some time, love
You got to spend some time with me
And I know that you'll find, love
I will possess your heart

There are days when outside your window
I see my reflection as I slowly pass
And I long for this mirrored perspective
When we'll be lovers, lovers at last

You got to spend some time, love
You got to spend some time with me
And I know that you'll find love
I will possess your heart

You got to spend some time, love
You got to spend some time with me
And I know that you'll find, love
I will possess your heart

I will possess your heart
I will possess your heart

You reject my advances and desperate pleas
I won't let you let me down so easily
So easily

You got to spend some time, love
You got to spend some time with me
And I know that you'll find, love
I will possess your heart
