Happy St. Patrick Swayze Day 2024!
For the second annual celebration of St. Patrick Swayze Day, Amy and I went to The Colonial Theatre where they brought us Skatetown USA, a truly terrible film. It was so bad at some parts that I was crying from laughing so hard. The cast was a mish mosh of random actors: Billy Blarty, Flip Wilson, one of those Landers sisters that JeffreyMixed mentioned earlier today on his Insta page, Scott Baio, Maureen McCormick, and inexplicably, Ruth Buzzi. Oh and lovely Dorothy Stratten actually provided one of the few genuine laughs. That aside, at one point I turned to Amy and rhetorically asked, "Why are we watching this??" We're glad we saw it, however we both plan to never see it again. The Mexican grub for dinner beforehand was the best part of the evening. Just hanging out and chatting with m'bestie was pure bliss.
