This is a favourite film of mine and my mother's. I had read the book (written by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey) in grade school and it's one of those rare instances where the film is as good as the book. The story is an absolute hoot with such unique and interesting characters. In the film version, Clifton Webb was stupendous as Frank Gilbreth. I re-watched it today and was busting out laughing at so many scenes. But the ending had my lower lip quivering and the tears a-flowin'.
