12 - The Fog

The Fog

A thick fog rolled into town last night and it showed no sign of leaving. Stepping outside is like walking into a sheet of paper, so we retreat to dim rooms and libraries, we sit in cafés and lobbies, watching the clouds cover the windows and slow down the clocks. Those who insist on conducting business in this kind of weather are up to no good, so it's better to stay indoors and take a break. Find a warm chair and maybe dream a little. Sometimes the world turns strange and our routines grind to a standstill - but perhaps we need an occasional break from the bustle. We can gather our resources and consider our priorities, knowing the fog cannot last forever.

When uncertain circumstances arise, use this as an opportunity to make a plan rather than take action. Patience is the key to good timing.
