Dublin City Hall

On that lovely day in 2015 when Natalia and I met up at St. Stephen's Green and then walked around the City Centre, we popped in to City Hall and snapped some pics of the gorgeous ceiling and the statues of the sassy gentlemen.

What do you like?

• sleeping

• reading a really good book

• listening to a really good audiobook

• discovering new music or a new song and the feeling of excitement that is attached to that

• Republic of Tea Coconut Cocoa tea on a cold cold day

• hanging out with Jackson and talking

• writing something that impresses me

• Hart to Hart 

• a quiet home 

• daydreaming

• pizza and root beer

• documentary films

• seeing a classic movie at The Colonial Theatre 

• suddenly realise that my body has no aches or pains and feeling relief, even though it may not last

• driving on a cloudy day with very little people on the road

• knowing the answer

• travelling

• hugs, genuine and real hugs where the other person wraps their arms completely around you and smoosh their head to yours and squeeze - bonus if they rock back and forth with you a little or make a noise of happiness that they are getting to hug you

• when you hold a baby and they lay their head on your shoulder because they feel 100% safe with you and they like you

• feeling cool, as in not looking and/or feeling stupid

• visiting Baldwin’s Book Barn, even though I may not spend a lot of time once I get there, it's really the drive and the hope of getting a smile from Fred

• sending out cards, but mostly decorating the envelope with great care and selecting the perfect stickers and placing them in just the right spot

• playing card games with Lucy

• introducing someone to Grounds for Sculpture 

• walking around Dublin and Antwerp

• FaceTiming with Natalia and talking about books

• Goldie Falafel Turkish Coffee Tahina Shake

• lunch dates with fab friends like Amy, Bella, Wayne, Mel & Lauryn, Kayla, Jax, Autumn, Marina, and Xavier

Gemmin' It Up

Lucy and Stacey got me totally hooked on those gem-diamond painting-sticky art things. It's really relaxing and addictive. Here's the ones that Stacey gave me plus the alligator Valentine from Lucy. 

Marina on Drums

Check out this video I recorded on September 21st, 2007. Marina and I went over to my brothers' place and the drum kit was begging to be messed with. I'm so glad that I have these odd little random home movies because it's like taking a very brief step back in time.

I Am the Night

I first saw this show in the Fall of 2020 and since then have seen it twice more. It's such a fascinating series with excellent performances by Chris Pine and India Eisley. Oh and especially Jefferson Mays as George Hodel! He starts out so endearing and then goes full-out creep-o-zoid real fast. It's available through Hulu at the moment, just so ya know. Give it a shot!
