Books & Cooks Tour 2024 - The Last Day

Today was an easy day with four deliveries. First was a pit stop to my in-laws, followed by Kayla and Kenny, then Uncle Alan and fam in PA. After that we went to Snap Pizza to stuff our faces. The last cookie delivery was to Xavier when I dropped off Jax. We were all so tired by then that we didn't get a selfie together. Oh well. There's always next year!

Since Pop has a busted hip, the four able-bodied people, Jackson, MeMom, Lucy, and I, stood in the foreground and got Pop just behind us.

This year Jackson wore my old Ad Rock tee and I bought a new one for me. Love that we have been carrying on this tradition for five years!

Lucy was so looking froward to going to Kay's place so she could play on their treadmill again. She was crestfallen to walk in and see it missing. But Kayla is a gem, so she popped upstairs and brought it down. Lucy walked on it for a total of 40 minutes and burned 100 calories. On her little breaks she was kind enough to let Jackson have a go.

I really adore Kenny. He is the perfect guy for Kay and he's a wonderful man. He pulled out his PSP or whatever, and showed it to Jackson. Then I told him about LocoRoco that I used to love and Kenny found a version for his phone!! (Sadly it's apparently on Androids only. Boo.)

Our little cat whisperer lured Zuko downstairs for a bit.

I wanted a nice shot of just Kayla and Kenny but Lucy jumped in. They look like a real family!

The kids discover Uncle Alan's sit up chair and each take lessons. Jax abandoned it and gave Lucy a turn so he could pet Ziggy.

It was a long weekend with loads of driving and we three were super tired, but we got in a couple silly selfies to end the tour.
