* Lady, Go Die! ¹ by Mickey Spillane and Max Allan Collins - Mike and Velda take a mini-break to Long Island where, you guessed it, they stumble on to a murder. Definitely a solid Hammer novel, with Stacy Keach keeping me on the proverbial edge of my seat the whole time. 

** Taken to the Stage ¹ by Mimi Kennedy - I really only knew Mimi Kennedy from that fun and fabulous spooktacular 1980s Disney flick, Mr. Boogedy. I loved learning about her life and how she worked on her craft and that she is so much more than the woman who uttered a family catchphrase: "Time. To. Call. A real-tor!"

* Detective Duck: The Case of the Missing Tadpole ¹ by Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver - This series is super cute, though nothing can touch the Here's Hank and Hank Zipzer books they'd written. The Detective Duck books take place in a pond and touch on nature and how important it is to take care of the earth.
