9 November 2020

So many years later and this is still absolutely hysterical. It will never not be funny.

Rolling Down Hills

While going through the videos on my cell, I found two clips of Jackson rolling down hills when we went to local gardens. He's such a boy.

February 2026 Books

* Hamnet ¹ by Maggie O'Farrell - Autumn had been telling me how much she loved this book ever since it first came out. It took a bit for me to get into it, but Hamnet was such a lovable character and his parents devastation at his passing was overwhelming. I'll need to prepare myself if I ever decide to see the film version, because the audiobook had me in tears.

¹ - audiobook
² - abridged version
* - liked
♥ - loved
Any unmarked titles were, in my opinion, so-so.

Eric Jussiaux

Before leaving Instagram for good at the end of February, I went through all my "saved" folders and took screenshots and videos of posts that I wanted to remember. The longest list to go through was all the ones I saved from The Aids Memorial. There were so many touching stories that I didn't want to forget. Out of the hundreds I had saved, I selected a small group of ones that stood out most for me. Here's one of them.

Easter Cards 2026

I only sent Easter cards to a small handful of friends, since I'm not into the holiday at all. But these three cards from Trader Joe’s were too cute to pass up!

Texting with Bishop

What was I doing the other night at quarter after one in the morning? Scrolling through old text messages sent to and from Bishop.

I Wish, I Wish, I Wish

A while back I saw this adorable home online and took a screenshot. I've no idea where the house it or who designed it or even the photographer, but I genuinely believe I could not love a building more. It is so sweet and classy and so American. Just plain fab!

GFS with Lucy!

Today was day one of the Artisan Market at Grounds for Sculpture. One of the booths was to be occupied by the one and only Kate Gabrielle. Lucy was beyond her normal adorable self and interacted with immense ease while visiting each artist's booth. She got a lot of really fabulous goodies and then felt guilty for spending money on fun stuff. I calmed her nerves by saying that not only was she supporting local artists, but that they were all woman owned businesses. I'm beyond proud that her first painting ever purchased was a tuxedo cat painting by Kate that's like the one I bought last Summer at her last yard sale. Lucy stole hearts left and right, but it was at Scolarice Art where she had everyone swooning at her sweetness. She bought a really pretty bookmark for nine bucks and handed over a twenty dollar bill saying, "Keep the change." The owner was taken aback and said, "Really?!" "Yeah. It's for the cats." The woman at the booth next to theirs overheard and clutched her heart, her face melting and I swear she got teary-eyed. Same as me. I mean, this kid is out of this world awesome. We had a fantastic time buying some great art and then walked around to see our fave GFS pieces. Lucy gabbed with a girl and invited her to see the snake and poof! Lucy and Callie played together, snapped photos, and became instant pals, if only for a brief time. People have always thought I was an oddball weirdo for being friends with kids, but honestly, they are the best and Lucy is one of a kind.

My stuff!
