Grandad at the Old Apartment
In going through my shoeboxes full of photos, I realised I needed to dig out my negatives as well. I bought a negative converter and I was so thrilled to find this picture of my grandfather that I took with my old camera that shot 110 film. I tend to recognise every photo I’ve taken, but this one is lost on me. I do love that I can sense how much taller he was than me at, maybe, nine years old and that I managed to hold the camera steady to get a clear shot of my kind ole Grandad. Oh, and even better is that I still own the shirt he's wearing in the photo and I also have what's left of the roll of that wallpaper.
