A Sobbing Wreck

Yesterday was hard. Unbelievably hard. Today isn't much better. I've sunk into a black hole of sadness and rage. How could this happen - again!? Why do so many people admire someone that is so hateful? How is it that a despicable and repulsive creature like him could be elected again? It feels as though the end of the world is finally here and frankly, I'm in no mood to stick around. It's never going to get better. The only thing that stopped me from non-stop crying yesterday was seeing this post on Fishs Eddy's Instagram page.

Good Things Today:

- watching episodes of Bluey

- early afternoon photo of Lucy, Stacey, and Dave at the airport, waiting to board their flight to Disney

- texting with Isabella about shopping at Ikea

- releasing the stress of needing to read People Like Us before the end of the year

- paying my bills and getting a bit out of debt

- commiserating with Amy and saying that in this shitstorm of a country, we are glad we have each other

- watching the final Hart to Hart film, the only one I haven’t seen because I was saving it - wish it was under happy circumstances

- feeling pain-free, even if it won't last

- working toward accepting the things I cannot control

- daydreaming about my perfect home

- lunches with my fave people

- that moment when you are trying to stay awake and then give in and drift off to dreamland

- smoking a cigarette

- taking a nice long soak in the tub with an absorbing book
