Quentin Crisp
There were two moments in the film An Englishman in New York staring John Hurt, once again, as Quentin Crisp. Not sure if these are actually things that Quentin said or if they are attributed to the screenwriter, Brian Fillis, but I love to reflect on both and here they be:
What would you be like if there was no one else in the world? Who would you be if the only opinion that mattered was yours? Because if you want to be truly happy, you must be that person.
You must search inside yourself for what is uniquely you. When you find it, polish it until it becomes your style.
