November 2023 Donations

United24

SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE FULL-SCALE INVASION, PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY HAS BEEN ASKED HUNDREDS OF TIMES: “WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP UKRAINE?”
THAT’S EXACTLY WHY WE LAUNCHED UNITED24, THE OFFICIAL FUNDRAISING PLATFORM OF UKRAINE

THE IDEA IS SIMPLE:
TO UNITE THE WORLD AROUND SUPPORTING UKRAINE; TO PROTECT, SAVE AND REBUILD

The platform allows one-click donations to Ukraine from anywhere. Why is this so important? Because Ukraine itself knows best what is needed and can deliver aid directly.

No one was ready for a full-scale war in the heart of Europe. Charitable foundations, no matter how well-organized, cannot meet the needs of a country as large as Ukraine. We can, however, do it together.

UNITED24 is designed for collaboration with charities, partners, donors, and public figures worldwide.

Our goal is to establish an efficient work process that brings Ukraine’s victory closer.

Please join me in the Low Budget Philanthropy movement and help out your community and beyond in the simplest way - donating any amount to whatever charity or organisation that you care about!

Paris Can Wait

I saw this film a year or so after it was released and was so glad to see it available on HBO Max. Diane Lane is always good and this was a delight. Nothing extraordinary or outrageous happens, but I really enjoyed following the two leads around as they drove through France together. Director Eleanor Coppola delivers a solid film and next I'm looking forward to watching her latest film, Love Is Love Is Love.

Harry Wild Season 2

I signed up for Acorn this month once I found out that season two was finally released. I binged it all in one day and it was really good. Hard to top last season, but I feel like this show has loads more up their sleeves and I'm hoping that means at least two more seasons!

Inky

Growing up, my Dad and his family had a black cocker spaniel named Inky who was adored by all. Here is a collection of photos featuring the faithful pup!

On the Big Island

On the 17th Natalia texted me about her visit to the Big Island and the fab, fun places she visited. Sweetie that she is, she shared some photos and sent me some postcards!

How to Curse in Mandarin!

Years and years ago I was close friends with a wonderful gal who worked at The Hellmouth. We both loved the series Firefly and especially the follow-up film Serenity. Out of nowhere, she gave me a little stack of index cards with her favourite Mandarin moments from the series and the movie. I'm so glad I kept it because it reminded me of what a thoughtful gal she was.

The Stone House

In October of last year Jackson and I stayed at The Stone House, an Airbnb just outside of Gettysburg.
