Finally Reaching Fishs Eddy

I've been ordering online from this fab store since the early aughts. Visiting the shop for real on the 17th with Kim was actually thrilling. It was jam-packed with oodles of excited shoppers plus the loveliest employees ever and treasures around every bend. The best part of all was that I went in with such high expectations and those expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. Looking forward to returning in the Springtime with Kim and getting more kitchen odds and ends to add to my wee lil' collection.

Check out a nice interview with Fishs Eddy co-owner here.

Anxiety Galore

Just looking at this photo sets me heading to a mini panic attack. It's so dangerous and scary but damn, I bet it's like nothing else on Earth.

Teo Does It Again!

I mean this kid is just beyond sweet. The New Year's one is precious. Natalia sure is one lucky mama to have such a wonderful son.

Cats, Cats Everywhere

December has been the month of the cat because I am seeing them all over the place. It all started with Elijah Monroe in Dublin...

Boxing Day with Bishop

Bishop and I went into Center City to have lunch at Goldie (best GD falafel I have ever had in my life!) then walk around to do a bit of light shopping. It was so great to score some one on one time with the big lug and have a heart to heart about all that's going on in our lives and the goals we are working toward in 2018. We plan on making it the year of Bishop and Star!!

Spinster's Christmas Continues!

This year's Christmas for me had to be kept simple, since I spent Thanksgiving abroad. I did manage to get myself a couple books and a subscription to The New Yorker magazine. So I was happy!

Cookshire Cabin

Saw these gorgeous photos of a stunning cabin on Instagram photographer Chris Daniele's @dirtandglass page and was delighted to discover that it's available on Airbnb! Wouldn't this be an ideal place to spend the Christmas holidays? Tucked away from it all in the woodsie-wilderness of lovely Quebec.

1999 Journal

Ah, the last year of the 20th century...back when I was heavily into Ani DiFranco, Chris Isaak, Metallica, and all things swing. My favourite actors at the time were Gary Oldman (pictured with then paramour Isabella Rossellini, who I just love!), Tim Roth, Ewan McGregor, Benicio Del Toro, Marlon Brando, and to a lesser extent, Robert Downey Jr. (mostly because he was in Only You). I admired David Lynch, Sylvia Plath, Oscar Wilde, David Bowie, and Todd Oldham for his fashion genius and use of vibrant colours. I was still obsessed with Sid Vicious, who got me interested in Gary Oldman after watching Sid and Nancy; and my great love of Ann Jillian was well into its 11th year. Oh, and remember Edward Burns? Yeah, I really liked his first couple of films. After She's the One I kinda lost interest...

Seen In Haddonfield

While stopped at the light on Haddon Ave I snapped this pic of a lovely gown in Jay West's window.

Christmas in New York with Kim

On Sunday Kim and I had our own jolly holiday in the Big Apple!

Also, I'm not a fan of PT Barnum, but I do love me some Hugh Jackman. I hope The Greatest Showman is an enormous success for him and that it keeps musicals on the big screen alive for many more years.

Back to Dean Village

Going back to Dean Village was an absolute must during my recent stay in Edinburgh. It is so lovely and serene.
